Transfers

Chicago Harbors
Current Chicago Harbors customers are able to apply to transfer to another mooring in the Chicago Harbors system. Transfer requests are processed in the order they are received pending availability.

Transfer requests are processed before we assign new applicants which is why we highly recommend that if your perfect mooring isn’t available as a new applicant, you take any mooring option first so you can be eligible for a prioritized transfer request.

In addition to our free self-service pump out docks, the Chicago Harbors also provide the following pump out services.

*Service available from May 1st to **There is an additional seasonal charge for more than one pump-out fitting of $100.00 per fitting for Weekly Service and $50.00 per fitting for Every Other Week Service and additional charges for pump out of more than 50 gallons per service. No refunds or credits. October 31st ***There is an additional charge for more than one holding tank fitting of $5.00 per fitting and additional charges for pump out of more than 50 gallons per service. Requests for service with less than 3 days notice will be charged an additional $10.00 fee. Please note: Signup for pump-out service only accepted from permittees / owners of record.

Change Request

This form is for updating or verifying your address for you permit.  If you are adding partners, updating ownership or boat information, please use the standard Change Request Form.

If you are requesting to change your mooring assignment, please use the Transfer Request Form instead.

Anyone providing a Chicago residency address for new applicant assignment, add-on partners or address change must provide three (3) of the following items from the following list showing the same address and that are current and valid. Each document must be from a separate source.

Acceptable Residency Documents*

  • Illinois Driver’s License or State ID
  • Bank or brokerage statement
  • Insurance policy (homeowner’s, boater’s or renter’s)
  • Utility bill (electric, water, telephone land/cell, cable or gas, issued within last 90 days)
  • Pay Stub or Electronic Deposit Receipt
  • Credit report (issued by Experian, Equifax or TransUnion within last 12 months)
  • Pension or Retirement Statement
  • Deed/title, Mortgage, Rental/Lease agreement
